Matt is Owner & Director of Bay State All Star Cheer & Dance. He has been involved with cheerleading and dance for the past 18 years. He has coached and choreographed at the Pop Warner, Jr. High, High School, College and All Star levels. Matt is the current head coach of the Shrewsbury High School varsity cheerleaders. While in middle school and high school, Matt was a member of the Position One Performing Arts Troupe and has won numerous local, regional and national dance titles. Matt was the recipient of the JamFest Coach of the Month Award in April 2008. Matt was a member of the NCA staff for 3 years and was named Top Veteran Instructor in 2001. Matt is a graduate of Dean College, '04. He earned his B.A. of Fine Arts while also earning a minor in Psychology. He is AACCA Safety certified, CPR and first aid certified as well as USASF levels 1-5 certified in tumbling, partner stunts and basket tosses. Matt has been judging local and regional cheerleading tournaments for the past 15 years. Matt is available for outside clinics or choreography. His choreography has consistantly placed in the top three at the Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Championships, as well as in the top 5 at the 2007, 2011 & 2013 NCA Collegiate Cheer & Dance Championship.
Steven brings to Bay State Cheer & Dance a wealth of experience in both Dance and Cheerleading.
Is 21 years old and was born an raised in Shrewsbury, MA. Brian has been doing all star cheerleading since 2012. He started his cheerleading career on levels 3 & 5. He has spent the past 5 years of cheering on level 5 and 4 years working on his parkour skills. He is part of the 2015 medium coed WORLDS CHAMPIONS team with ECE. Brian has been coaching at Bay State for the past 2 years with both cheer and tumbling. He has trained with Casey Ballou, Ray Jasper, Action Spirit staff and Bay State.
Coach Pokey began cheerleading with Bay State All Stars in 2004 and has been coaching with Bay State since 2006. She was a cheerleader for South County Pop Warner, Douglas High School, and numerous teams at Bay State All Stars. She has been involved in cheerleading now for over 13 years. Pokey has coached numerous teams at Bay State levels 1-5. She has brought many teams to multiple championships and in 2009 she coached a small senior coed 4 with Matthew Holdridge that went undefeated. Last year she helped Bay States Senior Coed 5 receive their first full paid bid! Pokey is a graduate of Becker College with her BA in Psychology and aspires to one day become an Occupational Therapist. Pokey is AACCA Safety certified as well as USASF levels 1-5 certified in tumbling, partner stunts and basket tosses.
Has been involved in the all star cheerleading world for the past 13 years. He has competed on a level 5 team for 12 out of the 13 years of his cheerleading career. He has attended the cheerleading worlds for 10 consecutive years. He has been a part of the Bay State family and have coached for the gym for the past 5 years. He has coached levels 1-4 and has been able to take his teams to The Summit two years in a row. His team FROST received the Bronze Medal at the 2015 Summit in the youth level 1 division. The following year his team FROST received the Silver Medal at the 2016 Summit in the small youth 2 division.
Has been a cheerleader at Bay State for 10 years, and has competed at The Cheerleading Worlds 5 out of those 10 years. Matt coached his first season last year with our half year program where he coached Junior level 1 and Senior 2. He is very excited to see what this season brings for his first year as a full year coach.
Kayla has cheered on levels 1-5 beginning her all star cheerleading career in 2003. She cheered on various all star teams and well as being the Capt. of Millbury High School's varsity cheerleading team. Kayla has competed many times at the cheerleading worlds placing top 10 in 2010, 2012, 2014 and part of the 2015 World Champion team in the medium coed division with ECE. She most recently has experienced coaching levels 1-5 tumbling at The Little Gym where she taught ages 3-12.
Rose has been involved with All Star competitive cheerleading since 2004. She was a member of the Five Star Parent/Open Team National Champions. Rose is a certified official Special Olympics coach and is completing her USASF credentialing. She has been coaching DreamMakers since it inception in 2006.
