Teams

All Star Cheer

There are many cheer team choices within the BSCD program. Members have the option of joining a traveling or non-traveling competition team or instructional classes.

Full Year Teams

Try outs for our Full Year Travel teams are the second to last weekend in May and practices begin immediately. Team commitment is from June 1st until May 31st.

Traveling teams practice approximately 6 hours a week with their teams and an additional hour of individual tumbling. These teams compete in approximately 10-12 local and National competitions throughout the season. Included in the competitions are approximately 5 National Competitions, 6-8 local competitions and 1 travel competition. Practices and competitions are mandatory.

Competitions are held in arenas such as the DCU Center in Worcester, the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, the CT Convention Center in Hartford, the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence as well as a few local high schools and colleges. Travel competitions change year to year and are chosen to best serve the teams attending them. Some past locations have been Orlando, Atlantic City, Dallas, Ocean City and Niagara Falls. High energy, professional and challenging competitions add to the total cheer experience, making All Star Cheerleading the exciting sport it is.

Half-Year Teams

Registration for our half year teams are typically held in November or December. These teams invite local recreational cheerleaders to join after their football season has ended. Half year teams compete only locally in approximately 3 – 4 competitions.

Team Freeze

Team Freeze All Star Cheerleading Team was established in February 2006 at 5 Star Academy of Cheer & Dance, Inc. in Oxford, MA and is now based at Bay State All Star Cheer & Dance Training Center; 545B Hartford Turnpike in Shrewsbury, MA.

Team Freeze is designed to facilitate the development, maintenance, and expression of an appropriate leisure lifestyle. This is a unified approach, integrating athletes with & without physical, mental, emotional , or social limitations. Through music, gross motor activities, and peer group mentoring, individuals are introduced to the fundamental skills of cheerleading.

This is an ideal opportunity to create friendships and team spirit amongst all members. Currently, this is the only program in Central Massachusetts that offers a strict unified approach.
